Fresh Space February Kitchen & Dinning Refresh Reveal!
I'm going to let the pictures speak for themselves. You can view all the before pictures here and the planning boards here and here. A list of resources and sponsors are below!
The chandelier that made the room.....the lovely Valdi Chandelier from Craftmade Brands
I love this modern chandelier! It has 15 LED lights that put off the perfect amount of light for the space.
No dimmer needed for this guy! The clean lines allow you to see through to our walkout deck but the satin brass gives a warm glow making the dinning space a cozy spot.
The room wouldn't be complete without some SmithHonig pieces. I love the pop of purple and fuchsia that this abstract SmithHonig pillow and runner bring to the room.
The mix of the abstract pillow and artwork from Jan Skacelik make this corner fresh and modern!
The SmithHonig runner is the perfect length and width! The colors work with the jewel tones in the room and bonus it's reversible!!
Another fun touch was this Yak Tassel necklace from SmithHonig. I saw it and immediately knew it would work as a lamp accessory! It's handmade out of Nepalese Yak Wool- how's that for a conversation piece?!;)
This dinning room is officially ready for a party!
Remember what used to be here? The Asian screen- I'm loving the new clean lines of the double lamps and that Victorian mirror is the perfect mix up with Asian style credenza from Century Furniture. You can find the lamps for sale in my Chairish Shop!
Now for the kitchen space! I've been wanting to give the Kitchen a quick refresh and this was the perfect opportunity. How do you like the touches of black we added?
When I came across these Liberty Hardware Cabinet Pulls I fell in love! They are real birch wood anchored in satin brass. Here you can see how they blend with the sides of the painted island.
The black Liberty Hardware pulls mixed with this SmithHonig Thread bare Fabric by the yard gave this window a new look.
One other detail that made this space was an upgrade in switch plates. Thanks to Liberty Hardware we have these lovely white Franklin Brass classic beaded covers throughout the kitchen.
I can't get over how amazing the new Liberty Hardware pulls look!
A view of the freshly painted island. We used the colour Luxurious from Velvet Finishes and are so pleased with the look. I've used Velvet Finishes before when I painted our powder bathroom vanity. It held up so well that I knew Velvet Finishes paint was key for this high traffic piece.
We prepped the island with Velvet Finishes "ready" spray and then used two coats of the luxurious paint colour. Last step was to use their "protect" finishing sealer. This little space only took about 3 hours to complete.
I love how the black island now works with our black kitchen table and chairs. Checkout that fabulous lumbar pillow from SmithHonig. I'm loving all of their boho fabrics!!!
The runner was made from their "thread bare" fabric by the yard.
